Obviously my favorite look of the night was Dr John dressed as the Ewok war chief from the forest moon of Endor. Feathers, fringe, and fur, oh my. He was magnificent. I had been switching back and forth with Downton Abbey and when I came back to the Black Keys performance I thought perhaps a homeless man had wandered off Pico and somehow made it onto the stage. My other favorite outfits of the night were Jack White’s peacock suit and Wiz Khalifa’s dizzying black-and-white zig-zag suit worn without a shirt and with multiple Versace necklaces. And the Boy of London hat. That was a nice touch. Never thought I’d write the words Wiz Khalifa and best dressed in the same post, but there you are. Honorable mentions go to Janelle Monae (although she needs to mix it up a little, I’m getting tired of the never-ending tuxedo variations), Carrie Underwood’s ball gown/movie projector screen, and J-Lo’s unitard dress with built-in Angie leg .
