In that fake-cover-photo issue of New York mag, a paparazzo reveals the cash price of fame, including this tidbit:
“Anyone in a bikini.” In the past couple of years, Jennifer Lopez has gone from A-list to C-list, and the value of her pictures has plunged. But a few weeks ago she was photographed poolside in Miami in a bikini – a picture that probably had a $25,000 price tag. “Photos of stars in bikinis will go for a minimum of $25,000. They don’t even have to be young.” (via LiveJournal)
And speaking of the not-young in bikinis, we caught some TV interviews with Joan Collins and Linda Evans over the weekend as they were hawking their upcoming catfight on the 25th-anniversary Dynasty reunion. (Yipes is right.) They both looked disturbingly unearthly. The near-unrecognizable Linda claims to be 64, but doesn’t look a day over 70. Joan, on the other (liver-spotted) hand, admits to 73 but, like the undead of lore, there’s no way she could be expected to remember how old she really is. When asked on The Insider (or Access or ET or one of those newzak shows) whether they were fans of plastic surgery, they both said they were, but Joan said she will never use Botox. Why? Because it’s been around only 10 years, she said without a trace of irony, and its long-term effects have not been determined.
