Gone Girl, the disappearing-wife mystery novel by Gillian Flynn, is still on the best-seller lists, long after a year, and it’s spent much of that time in the #1 position. Now it’s finally being translated into a movie, by none other than David Fincher, who’s pretty handy with the dark stuff. Ben Affleck (keeping busy) and Rosamund Pike (pictured) have been cast as the main protags. The rest of the cast will include Tyler Perry as the attorney who reps Affleck’s character after his wife goes missing, Neil Patrick Harris as the wife’s former boyfriend, and Kim Dickens, Patrick Fugit, and Carrie Coon in other roles. The book is an awesome page-turner, as you know, you read it. And with Fincher at the helm the movie should be amazing. But, seriously, we’re not going to lie, casting Tyler Perry is a real buzzkill. We don’t want to see Tyler Perry’s David Fincher’s Gone Girl. (via deadline; photo: Pacific Coast News)
