#GoldenGlobes17: The Nominations Are In, “La La Land” & “Westworld” Top the List

The nominations for the 74th Golden Globe Awards were announced today. La La Land seems to be the early darling of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association awards pulling in in seven nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best actor and Actress nods for its stars, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone.

Moonlight, a coming-of-age film about a young, gay black man, followed La La Land with six nominations, including a best director nomination for Barry Jenkins and best supporting acting nods for Naomie Harris and Mahershala Ali. Deadpool surprised some by snagging multiple nominations including Best Picture in the comedy/musical category, along with 20th Century Women, Florence Foster Jenkins and Sing Street. Jimmy Fallon will host the awards ceremony, which will air January 8 on NBC.
