Rudy Giuliani, personal attorney to Trump, has tested positive for COVID.
Rudy was admitted to Georgetown University Hospital on Sunday a few hours after Trump shared the news on Twitter. Giuliani confirmed his positive diagnosis, posting on Twitter, that he’s
“getting great care and feeling good.”
Thank you to all my friends and followers for all the prayers and kind wishes.— Rudy W. Giuliani (@RudyGiuliani) December 7, 2020
I’m getting great care and feeling good.
Recovering quickly and keeping up with everything.
No additional details have been provided about his condition. The former mayor of NYC and full-time Trump apologist has been traveling throughout the country, leading Trump’s hopeless battle to overturn the results of the election.
He has repeatedly disregarded public health guidelines, appearing maskless in state capitols, hotel ballrooms and at indoor news conferences in recent weeks. At many of the events, most of the other people in the indoor settings were also not wearing masks.
Giuliani has been photographed shaking hands, hugging and taking pictures with people while not wearing a mask.
Bette Midler reacted to the news with disgust…
#RudyGiuliani exposed hundreds to Covid-19 as he relentlessly criss-crossed the country seeking to overturn the election; pix of him maskless, hugging, kissing, posing with other Covidiots…
It’s enough to make you gag. Pity the poor doctors & nurses who have to treat him.”

According to CNN,
He was at the Georgia Capitol in Atlanta on Thursday to attend a Georgia state Senate hearing on the November election. During a break in the hearing, Giuliani removed the mask he was wearing to greet and take pictures with supporters.
He traveled to Michigan on Wednesday for a state House committee hearing that lasted four and a half hours, during which he was maskless as he pushed misleading claims that the election was stolen from Trump.
The Trump campaign said in a statement late last night that Giuliani tested negative twice
“immediately preceding his trip to Arizona, Michigan, and Georgia”
They added that Giuliani did not experience any symptoms or test positive for COVID until 48 hours after his return.
As the number of #TrumpVirus cases and deaths are on the rise across the country, the White House ignores CDC recommendations and is hosting large events, sans masks, with little social distancing.
Georgia Democratic state senator Elena Parent, who attended the hearing on Thursday with Giuliani, said that he and his team
“willingly endangered all of us to pander to Trump.
It was reckless and irresponsible for the Georgia Senate Republicans to hold an in-person hearing without requiring masks and social distancing during a pandemic. Clearly the COVID risk from (Giuliani) and team, who have been attending hearings maskless all around the country, was high and they willingly endangered all of us to pander to Trump.
Mayor Giuliani’s blatant disregard for public safety measures in this pandemic is irresponsible and puts Georgians in danger.”
