Looking through Marc Jacobs’  fall 2016 line I was dying over the eccentric, dark and gothy feel of the collection. All of the outfits are oversized and layered to perfection with a mix of patterns, prints, and texture. Every piece is sure to throw your eyes into a fashion frenzy, clearly as not one is boring.  Do yourself a favor and peep the collection here.

Although all the looks are fantastic, one stood out amongst the rest. The mix of textures and the idea of transforming a sweatshirt into something way more really stuck with me. I love throwing unusual pieces together and ending with something well put together. From the doily collar down to the patent platform lace up boots my heart skips a beat [I die].  Let me tell you, this look is not one to mess with.

Now in a perfect world I would have it all…but since I still need to “fake it till I make it” I am all about those deals. Here is a look I put together inspired by the Marc Jacobs’ original:

I put this head to toe look together for a total of $270. [amazing, right?] When putting together a look you really need to know when to hold em or fold em. In this case I went all in on the shoes. They are lace up, platform, and patent leather…how could I not. These are the exact feel to kick off our Marc Jacobs’ inspired look!
