When last we left George Michael‘s boyfriend, Fadi Fawaz (pictured above), he was refusing to vacate the $6.2 million home he shared with the late singer, despite repeated requests from the Michael family. He was a bit peeved, you see, that he had been frozen out of George’s $121 million will. (Some reports put the estate closer to $98 million, but why quibble?).
Now, he’s apparently gone completely bonkers and smashed the home to pieces.
When police arrived at the London property Tuesday night they found a topless Fawaz, 46, standing on the roof.
They also heard loud smashing noises and saw water gushing out of the front door.
via FOX NEWS (don’t judge, they just had the most extensive reporting on the story):
One neighbor said: “The damage inside the house is really bad. I’ve never seen anything like it.
“Every fixture and fitting, every door and window, everything George left in there — it’s all completely destroyed.
“Even the toilets and sinks have been smashed. There’s major damage to the walls and even the ceilings. It’s such a shame because George loved that place and it used to be so beautiful.”
The neighbor then added:
“This can’t have happened in just one night, he must have been systematically smashing the place up for a long time,” the neighbor continued. “I don’t know if he’s on something but he’s lost his head.”
Fawaz has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated criminal damage and has been taken into custody at a north London police station.
Fawaz has been squatting at the house since George Michael’s death on Christmas Day 2016, and has vowed he will only leave “in a box.”
