National Geographic, Katie Couric, and World of Wonder Production’s collaborated on a moving new project “Gender Revolution” that premieres on February 6th at 9PM E.T. Meet Nicolás Eduardo Aramayo:
Nicolás Eduardo Aramayo is a senior at Yale University. They uses the pronouns they/them/their, and identifies as nonbinary and trans masculine. Here’s Nick in their own words:
“I wish people would understand and accept that gender is not an inherent part of being human. Gender is constructed by societies. That does not mean that it does not exist! It simply means that we should be critical of essentializing gender and should instead be open to changing ideas around it because it is a concept that was constructed and can just as easily be adapted or changed.”
