Jack E Jett, who hosted On Q Live and Queer Edge TV on the erstwhile all-queer-but-not-gay-enough Q Television Network, tackles the concept of gay TV in “The State of Gay TV,” an article in the Dallas Voice, the Community Newspaper for Gay & Lesbian Dallas. In the piece, he says blah blah blah and blah blah blah and then gets to this concerning World of Wonder and WOW TV:
World of Wonder, purveyors of way-gay eclectic documentaries and reality series (“Transgeneration,” “Inside Deep Throat”) also recently decided to jump on the Internet broadband wagon. But they’re shying away from the “gay network” tag. Gay owners Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato have a knack for bringing underground projects above ground. I’m anticipating that WOW will eventually be one of the stronger contenders on the broadband frontier — and they’ll probably excise the vanilla.
That “vanilla” remark refers back to something earlier in the article. And we’d like to note that Inside Deep Throat should in no-way be considered way-gay. Except for the blowjob.
