White gay Fox News pundit and Trump supporter Chadwick Moore got put on blast after he announced he’s now the spokesperson for
“the gays.”
In an uncalled for tweet, he wrote,
“I’m sorry, blacks, but you already have a month. Juneteenth isn’t a thing. Don’t colonize our month as well. thanks. Signed, the gays.”
The response was swift and Twitter users slammed Moore, with many schooling him in history. RuPaul’s Drag Race alum, Trinity the Tuck tweeted,
“Who are you? Regardless, this tweet is trash and obviously reflects the trash that tweeted it. You don’t speak for the gay community! We don’t claim you!”
And FYI, the cornerstone of the LGBTQ movement, the Stonewall Riots, was sparked by queer people of color.
Amid all the backlash, Moore tweeted a follow-up response,
“I think the gays have spoken.
If BLM can have their mass gatherings, riots and protests, why can’t we have our Pride parades?!”
Last year, Moore wrote in Spectator USA that Pride parades are where
“you watch naked, leathery old men with nipple rings waddle down the street, testicles knocking at their knees, or third-rate drag monsters expose their buttholes to crowds of children”.
I think I can sum up all the responses to Moore with two simple hashtags:
#STFU #NoMoore
