Amster-damn! Get ready to start your engines as a fierce group of new queens are ready to take center stage on Friday, September 18th.
We’re excited to announce that Dutch TV presenter and stylist Fred van Leer is set to host Drag Race Holland, our Dutch adaptation of RuPaul’s Drag Race which will be streaming exclusively on WOW Presents Plus and RTL’s Videoland.
Van Leer made his television debut in 2009 working on RTL’s Dames in de Dop, and later became a coach in Holland’s Next Top Model. In 2012 van Leer created Shopping Queens on RTL 5 where candidates competed with each other to be the best-dressed of the week. He has also presented Say Yes To The Dress Benelux and Fred van Leer: Everything Out Of The Closet.
“I still can’t believe I’ll host Drag Race Holland with the blessing of RuPaul! What a dream! This program is everything I believe in and stand for!” he said. “It’s all about charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent and I can’t wait to see all the fantastic creations of the queens on the runway, the lip syncs and all the challenges we created. A first message to our queens: You’d better work bitch! Good luck and don’t fuck it up!”
Drag Race Holland will be available on Friday, September 18th on WOW Presents Plus in the U.S. and worldwide, excluding the Netherlands, and launches with subtitles in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Videoland will stream the new series exclusively in the Netherlands and Canada availability will be announced soon.
