The lovely and charming James Franco, a fave star of ours, will guest on The Mindy Project, a fave show of ours, in a two-episode story arc starting with the show’s season premiere on September 17. Franco, “one of the most celebrated actors of his generation,” say the folks at Fox (and we don’t disagree), will play a charismatic OB-GYN named Dr Paul Leotard, who replaces Mindy Kaling’s Mindy character who’s in Haiti on a volunteer mission with her boyfriend. Backstory is Franco’s Leotard is a former fashion model who accidentally walked off a runway at fashion week, was saved by a pregnant woman, and immediately applied to medical school to devote himself to helping pregnant women.
