Twice in one day? This is odd.
What is going on?
Barbara Guthrie Lay, 82, who was crowned Miss Virginia in 1958, was rushed to hospital shortly before Christmas after having trouble breathing due to a COVID-related illness.
Two days later, her husband Tony was informed she had died.
According to Daily Mail: Tony began telling relatives and friends that his beloved wife had passed on only to receive another call minutes later telling him that a pulse had been found.
‘I was overjoyed and tearful again,’ Tony told Local 21. ‘I went from being miserable and brokenhearted to overjoyed.’
He said it was not clear how she had come back from the dead but that she has since been moved from ICU to a regular ward.
‘I have always loved my wife,’ Tony said. ‘I just didn’t realize exactly how much until this happened and that I can’t live without her.’
It was Barbara’s son, Thom Kelley, a doctor, who was first told that his mother had died.
He received a call minutes later telling him that she was actually alive.
Kelley relayed the news each time to Barbara’s husband Tony.
‘As a physician, I will say without hesitation there is only one word for what has happened over the past week – a miracle,’ Kelley told The Bulletin.
So, first Tanya Roberts dies, comes back, and dies again.
Then this woman in Georgia dies and comes back.
Two is a coincidence. If it happens again, it’s a trend.
I have a hunch, it’s a couple of things. I think the hospital staffs are seriously overworked and patients are slipping through the cracks. I also wonder if perhaps COVID patients heartbeats and pluses are slowing down so much, that to a hurried staff, they appear to be dead, but are in fact still alive.
I think we need to be on the lookout for more of these stories…
