Dragstrip 66 30th Anniversary and Frockumentary fundraising.
Starting in 1993, Dragstrip 66 was an LA club that played edgy rock, alternative, and electronica, where the patrons could come out on stage to show their drag looks.

DJ Paul V. says,
For 20 years, Dragstrip 66 provided a safe, all-welcomed space where our patrons created their own LGBTQ+ community and family.
So the children need to know about our queer legacy and important historical impact.

There was absolutely NO lip-synching at Dragstrip 66! Live singing only. Queens would sing re-written lyrics as parodies. Here’s a good example at the 20th anniversary with Jackie Beat singing, Dildos Are Forever.
Watch.

Paul V. says,
And we are so moved by everyone’s love and support 30 years later, but that also means our new political activism will be slaying all these insidious MAGA monsters!”
The Dragstrip 66 Frockumentary is now raising funds so they can hire a pro film crew to document the big 30th anniversary party on April 22 in LA.
The performance is more or less sold out. All the drag performers and special guests are being kept a secret, but I hear through the grapevine that some folks pictured here might be there! Wink, wink.
The brand new short teaser video, features Alaska Thunderfuck, Coco Peru, Jackie Beat, Varla Jean Merman, Detox, and Mink Stole.
