#FirstLook: 'Schmigadoon!' Season 2 Takes Place in the Dark Musical World of Schmicago

Orphans, hippies, and ne’er-do-wells populate Schmicago in the new star-studded season of Schmigadoon! Check out the delightful trailer.

Cecily Strong and Keegan-Michael Key are back as Melissa and Josh. Amid the pressures of expecting a baby, they long to leave the real world behind and return to Schmigadoon, but instead, they stumble upon the world of Schmicago.

Schmicago is a mashup of musicals from the 1960s and 1970s: darker, sexier, and with more mayhem.

Tituss Burgess is a new addition as the peppery Narrator, and Patrick Page plays ominous patriarch Octavius Kratt.

The season includes many returning stars, including Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Ariana DeBose, Jane Krakowski, Martin Short, Dove Cameron, Jaime Camil, Ann Harada, and Aaron Tveit.

There are nods to Pippin, Cabaret, Sweeney Todd, Annie, Hair, and Godspell, among others. If you love the musicals of Bob Fosse and Stephen Sondheim, this looks like a lot of fun!
