Netflix just gave us reason to give “Thanks” with a trailer for The Prom.
Directed by Netflix’s golden boy, Ryan Murphy, The Prom is based on the 2018 Broadway musical of the same name.
In it High School students in a small Indiana town, Emma (Jo Ellen Pellman) is banned from attending her High School prom with her girlfriend, Alyssa (Ariana DeBose).
Two Broadway actors (Meryl Streep and James Corden) have a flop on their hands when they hear of the kid’s troubles, and think that helping them might just boost their images. They recruit other actors (Nicole Kidman and Andrew Rannells) to join them. But it doesn’t go exactly as planned…
The movie also features Kerry Washington, Keegan Michael-Key, and Tracey Ullman, among others.
