Madonna just released the video for Medellín with Maluma, the first track from her highly-anticipated 14th studio album Madame X.
Directed by Diana Kunst and Mau Morgó (A$AP Rocky, FKA Twigs), the video takes place in the surreal world where Madame X lives.
Living in Lisbon, Portugal over the past several years influenced the making of the record, a collection of 15 new songs that celebrate Madonna’s career-long affair with Latin music and culture.
Madonna says.
“Lisbon is where my record was born. I found my tribe there and a magical world of incredible musicians that reinforced my belief that music across the world is truly all connected and is the soul of the universe.
Madonna and Maluma will perform Medellín live together for the first time at the Billboard Music Awards on May 1. Madame X will be released on June 14th globally.
