New character portraits for The Wiz Live!, NBC’s upcoming three-hour TV event, have just been released. After The Sound of Music Live! and Peter Pan Live!, NBC is going to Oz for this year’s special holiday event. Here’s a first look at Uzo Aduba as Glinda, Queen Latifah as The Wiz, and Common as Bouncer, the Emerald City gatekeeper. The 3-hour live production also stars Mary J. Blige, Ne-Yo, Amber Riley, David Alan Grier, Stephanie Mills, and rising star Shanice Williams as Dorothy. Ease on down the road. Watch.
