“15 years after their traumatic gingerbread-house incident, siblings Hansel and Gretel have become a formidable team of bounty hunters who track and kill witches all over the world.” With Jeremy Renner as Hansel and Gemma Arterton as Gretel, it probably seemed like a good idea at the time. But after the dismal failure of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, I think everyone’s enthusiasm for these types of high-concept genre-melding movies has probably dampened. And if you recall, premise didn’t work for Matt Damon and Heath Ledger in The Brothers Grimm either. But I’m sure I’ll see it anyway. What do YOU think?
