On Election night, Fox News became the first major news outlet to declare that Biden would win Arizona.
Trump was NOT happy with his personal pet network.
Jared Kushner called Rupert Murdoch himself to demand the reversal of Fox’s call. Armed pro-Trump supporters in Maricopa County, Ariz. led chants of “Fox sucks”.
Wednesday Thursday & Friday, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and the network’s top opinion lackeys backed up Trump’s claims of voter fraud by Democrats, trying to discredit the electoral process.
On Friday CNN reported that even if the network projected Biden to win they were NOT to call him
Later on Friday, Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace went out of his way to say Biden would be “president-elect” should he win PA.
After Hannity’s lie-fest on Friday, Ingraham encouraged Trump to concede with dignity, IF the occasion should arise. Weirdly, Fox hosts DO talk to Trump through the TV –as well as off camera.
“President Trump’s legacy will only become more significant if he focuses on moving the country forward.
And then the love and respect his supporters feel for him? It’s only going to grow stronger.”
But Fox Corp is an evil empire, I mean “business”, and it now has to figure out how to navigate the next 72 days, as well as a Biden presidency. FYI, it did quite well trashing Clinton and Obama during their administrations.
Fox Corp’s CEO Lachlan Murdoch (Rupert’s older son) told investors this week,
“The news cycle will moderate. We fully expect to be No. 1 and maintain share through that.”
But it’s not hard to imagine what Fox News will look like under a Biden administration – smear Joe and Hunter Biden, Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi…
And of course they will champion ANY Trump –especially the man-baby himself– if/when they announce a 2024 run for POTUS.
I know, too soon… enjoy the Biden win for at least the rest of Sunday.
