The Harry Potter star is headed to Disney to play the titular role in the live-action version of Beauty and the Beast. This is the newest spin-off from the House of Mouse after last year’s smash hit Maleficent and the upcoming Cinderella. Watson announced the news on her official Facebook page writing: “It was such a big part of my growing up, it almost feels surreal that I’ll get to dance to ‘Be Our Guest’ and sing ‘Something There.’ My six year old self is on the ceiling — heart bursting. Time to start some singing lessons. I can’t wait for you to see it.” Oscar-winning writer/director Bill Condon (Chicago, Dreamgirls, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Parts 1 & 2) will helm the project. But no news yet as to WHO will be playing the Beast and his subsequent human transformation. We’re seriously biting our nails in anticipation! Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hardy or Joe Manganiello will do.
