Some grade-school uniforms in Japan are being fitted with global positioning systems (GPS), allowing parents to track their children’s whereabouts during the day by computer. No more Jonny getting into a stranger’s car after school without Mommy finding out. If he does, then Mommy can either make a phone call to the GPS service center or access a website. She can even get the security company’s agents to fly to her child’s rescue if need be. Or she can do absolutely nothing. Mommy already has a lot on her plate without having to sit at the computer all day watching the kid. (Japan Today)
