Yes, Dreamland in Central Park is set to shatter the Guinness World Record for largest attendance at New York Fashion Week.
The current record is 1,012 people, achieved at 2018’s Moscow Fashion Week. Dreamland has already sold over 3,000 tickets and aims to break the record with 5,000 people at their Central Park fashion event.
Marco Marco will present the main show (the designer’s first in five years) as a retrospective of Marco Morante’s most provocative creations from the last twenty years, including the latest season, SS24.

The show will include a cast of incredible dancers performing original choreography by two-time Emmy nominee Spencer Liff, plus a sneak peek at the Broadway bound Drag: The Musical, starring Alaska Thunderf*ck, (directed and choreographed by Spencer Liff) with costumes by, who else? Marco Marco.
While most runway shows at NY Fashion Week are industry-only and closed to the public, Dreamland Fashion Week will be open to everyone. Producer Jake Resnicow says,
In 2023, Fashion Week is about more than clothes.
This will be a week in NYC when art, culture, and self-expression merge. It will be about breaking barriers, challenging norms, and promoting inclusivity.
We invite all to immerse themselves in a world of glamour, artistry, and empowerment.”
Providing the music is another innovator and cultural icon, Diplo, who just had a wild week escaping Burning Man. And joining him will be Blond:ish and LP Giobbi.
Dreamland Fashion Week is Saturday, September 9 at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park from 3:00 to 10:00 pm. Doors (doors?) open at 3.
