Kate Bingamon keeps a record of every item she buys by drawing a picture of each one. Really, every item. And then she draws pictures of the monthly credit-card bills she receives for buying those items. It must break up the boring routine of the IRS auditor. They’re actually lovely drawings that would do a gallery proud. Take a look at them at Kate’s aptly named site, ObsessiveConsumption. We learned about it from BoingBoing, but it’s also greatly appreciated by The Consumerist, who calls Kate “a nice person.” Then the IRS auditor will be doubly blessed when he calls on Kate. Maybe she can draw him some cookies.
