Alright, alright, alright.
While being interviewed on “The Balanced Voice” podcast, Matthew McConaughey said he was considering a run for Texas governor.
He was speaking of his current roles as a parent and a University of Texas professor when he casually mused about what his next move in life would be.
“And I’m looking into now, what is my leadership role?” asks McConaughey. “Because I do think I have some things to teach and share.
“What is my role, what is my category in my next chapter of life that I’m going into now?” he continues.
Host Rania Mankarious jumped at the opportunity to question if a gubernatorial run would qualify as his next step.
“It’s a true consideration,”
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, the Republican who famously bungled the recent deadly cold snap, is up for re-election in 2022.
No word on Matthew’s platform or political affiliation, but something tells me he’s prooooooobably on the conservative side.
PS- This isn’t the first time he’s threatened to run.
