Billionaire Peter Thiel speaking at the RNC
The standard women’s bathroom has become the all-gender variety with a simple sign. But that sign illustrates one of the MAJOR differences between the Democratic Party and the GOP. (The sign below indicates something altogether different. The elevator banks at the RNC it seems were colored-coded, but sensitivity is apparently NOT a Republican strong-suit…)
Last week, openly gay billionaire Peter Thiel (who LGBT activist, Urvashi Vaid, called “the new Roy Cohn“) described the on-going controversy over which bathroom transsexuals should use as a “distraction” when speaking at the RNC.
“When I was a kid, the great debate was about how to defeat the Soviet Union. And we won. Now we are told that the great debate is about who gets to use which bathroom. This is a distraction from our real problems. Who cares?”
As we know, gender-neutral bathrooms have become a major issue lately, with the Supreme Court even getting involved when it comes to the rights of transgender students and bathroom access at their local schools.
The NBA last week pulled its 2017 All-Star Game from Charlotte, N.C. over the state’s controversial law that bans transgender people from using bathrooms in accordance with their own gender identities.
