At Tuesday night’s truly fucked up presidential debate, the president claimed he has the endorsement of the “Portland sheriff”, probably a reference to Multnomah County Sheriff Mike Reese.
Soon after, Reese shortly tweeted:
“In tonight’s presidential debate the President said the ‘Portland Sheriff’ supports him. As the Multnomah County Sheriff, I have never supported Donald Trump and will never support him.”
Our always charming fetid mango-hued president also said if local and state leaders do as he says, he could end protests in Portland in 30 minutes.
The sad, sorry moderator Chris Wallace asked the Democratic presidential candidate Joseph R. Biden if he had reached out to try to stop the violence in Portland. Wallace:
“Have you ever called the Democratic mayor of Portland or the Democratic governor of Oregon and said, hey, you gotta stop this, bring in the National Guard, do whatever it takes, to stop the days and months of violence in Portland?”
“I don’t hold public office now. I am a former vice president. I’ve made it clear, I’ve made it clear in my public statements, that violence should be prosecuted.”
“But you’ve never called for the leaders in Portland and in Oregon to bring in the National Guard and knock off 100 days of riots? “
Biden, referring to POTUS:
“They can in fact take care of it if he’d just stay out of the way.”
President Twittler claimed that he sent in U.S. Marshals: “…to get the killer of the young man in the middle of the street. They shot him, and for three days Portland wouldn’t do anything.” This is most likely a reference to the shooting death of 39-year-old Proud Boy, Aaron Danielson. The shooting came after the “Trump 2020 Cruise Rally in Portland”, where supporters of White Nationalism gathered in pickup trucks and drove in a caravan into downtown Portland with their American flags, “Thin Blue Line” flags, and ”Trump 2020” and MAGA flags festooned to their vehicles.
President Von Tinyfingers:
“I had to send in the U.S. Marshals, and they took care of business.”
“He keeps trying to rile everything up. He doesn’t want to calm things down. Instead of going in and talking to people and saying, ‘Lets get everybody together, figure out how to deal with this’. What’s he do? He just pours gasoline on the fire, constantly, every single, solitary time.”
Another important issue for us Portlanders, the far-right White Supremacist group the Proud Boys, was brought up during the debate when Wallace asked the president to condemn white supremacy. The president scoffed, but when Wallace pressed, the thin-skinned tangerine colored blob asked for a name of a group. Biden offered the Proud Boys, a hate group that openly advocates for violence.
“Proud Boys — stand back, stand by. But I’ll tell you what, somebody’s got to do something about ANTIFA and the left because this is not a right-wing problem. This is a left-wing problem.”
Proud Boys’ tweets after the dismal debate were pure excitement, seeing POTUS’s statements as an encouragement. They quickly had memes on social media that included ”Stand Back, Stand By” with the group’s logo and an offer for tee-shirts and with the new motto.
