Released 100 years ago, Different From The Others was a 90 minute film that centered around the love affair of a famous violinist (played by Conrad Veidt) and his male student (Reinhold Schünzel). It might just be the first depiction of LGBTQ characters on film.
And while the complete physical copy of the film was loss, 40 minutes have been restored by the UCLA Film and Television Archives.
