The Donald Trump reality show, The Apprentice, a megahit for NBC last year, is declining in the ratings this year, as Trump’s ego soars higher. Also experiencing a bit of the cold shoulder from viewers are The Bachelor and Fear Factor. According to Steve Sternberg, executive VP and director of audience analysis at Magna Global USA (sounds like a fictional conglomerate), primetime is loaded with 10 more hours of reality TV than last year, which means that the lineup includes fewer comedies, dramas, and other scripted programming, which, ironically, are the most-watched shows this year, i.e. Lost, Desperate Housewives, and the CSI and Law & Order behemoths.
