Living legend Dennis Hopper, who’s been there and done just about everything there is to do in the arts world, has now been diagnosed with prostate cancer and is currently dropping all future plans to focus on being treated for it via a special program at the University of Southern California. Cancellations include his appearance at an exhibition of his photography and art at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image in Melbourne. Throughout his career, the 73-year-old twice Oscar-nominated actor has documented the Hollywood scene in his photographs while starring in a number of classic films, including Rebel Without a Cause; Easy Rider, which he directed; Apocalypse Now; The American Friend; and Blue Velvet. We wish him a speedy remission.
