Anderson Cooper had former Lt. Dan Choi, who was recently discharged from military service under the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy, as a guest on his show AC360 to debate Elaine Donnelly. Choi pretty much mopped the floor with her. At one point he asked her a question in Arabic to demonstrate how ill-equipped she is to speak for the modern military and the challenges they face. Donnelly has a history of making unfounded claims about the dangers of allowing openly gay soldiers to serve and has a habit of constantly repeating the claims, as if by repetition they will somehow become credible. Even Anderson grew irritated with her obscuration.
Dan Choi will also be a featured speaker at The National Equality March and Rally on October 11 in Washington D.C.
