Ghost World star Thora Birch’s skeevy father, Jack Birch, insisted on watching his daughter’s sex scenes with Dean Winters during the filming of Winter of Frozen Dreams, about real-life massage-parlor masseuse Barbara Hoffman, who poisoned two men and is currently serving a life sentence. Birch met Thora’s mother Carol Connors, when they were both appearing in the porn classic Deep Throat, he as “#12” and she as “The Nurse.” A witness says that Birch, who has been described as “so unphotogenic you can’t take your eyes off him,” was giving thumbs-up to Winters as Eric Mandelbaum was directing the actor to thrust “Harder!
