Ann Curry was reporting on a volcano this morning on Today and, while she was describing the flow, her throat filled with mucus and she was unable to speak. The mucus mimicked the lava as it flowed from the rocks. She apparently coughed up enough to allow air passage and excused herself by saying she had become “verklempt.” Matt, Meredith, and Al all commented on this phlegmy evidence of Ann’s unsuitability for national television.
