Anna Nicole Smith and TrimSpa, the company for which she is the spokesexample, are being sued in a class-action suit by a young girl’s guardians who say the weight-loss product was misrepresented and failed to work on the fatty as advertised. They’re asking for damages, restitution, and an injunction to prevent TrimSpa from making further claims the pills will shed pounds. Although the FTC announced in January that TrimSpa would pay $1.5 million to settle allegations that the company’s weight-loss claims were unsubstantiated, the commercials do in fact feature small-print disclaimers stating that the product is not guaranteed to produce weight loss. Something about diet and exercise, blah blah.
Speaking of pills, it’s said Smith was frightened the other day when she was sent a box of baby clothes by her former lover, photographer Larry Birkhead, who also enclosed a picture of himself with Smith. He’s still claiming Smith’s latest child, DannieLynn, is his, despite her protestations that the kid’s father is her live-in lawyer Howard K Stern. With all her troubles of late, you’d think a box of free baby clothes would be a happy entry into Mr Diary. But “It’s kinda scary in a way,” she said about the gift.
Meanwhile, why the miserable new face job?
