Million Dollar Listing New York agent extraordinaire Fredrik Eklund and his partner John Gomes won the honor of top team at the Ellies (the real estate firm Douglas Elliman‘s annual award ceremony) on Thursday at Radio City Music Hall in New York! The duo took home the prize for the third year in a row, according to The Real Deal.

Fredrik opened up about the win with a lengthy caption on Instagram:

Dear diary, I need to tell you about last night. Tom Ford transformed me to that Swedish Clarke Kent [sic] I wrote to u about along time ago, that vision I had as a teenager. Inside Radio City Music Hall the Rockettes high-kicked onstage. I was so hungry, stomach roaring,” he wrote. “It’s important I note this here: I work for Elliman, the city’s #1 in the number or agents, #1 in total listings and #1 in listings over $10M. Simply put: it’s the biggest & the best. Combined with KnightFrank we have over 16,000 agents in 60 countries on five continents. So naturally, I felt proud receiving the award for the #1 team company-wide for the third straight year in a row.

But – I was still hungry! So I moonwalked over to the afterparty and burst out in a dance on the dance floor, at that point I was flying. We kissed everyone goodbye and left, came out in the rain on 6th Avenue and I stopped as the neon reflections danced too in the wet streets. John said our tuxes would get ruined, I said they will get memories. Did it all really happen, dear diary? It was only 12 years ago I came to New York. In the uber I touched the glass, something I always do inside cars. As a little boy I used to put my fingertips against the cold glass, and sort of point at what was flashing by. Now there were no longer snow-covered pinewoods. And then my stomach screamed it still needed to eat. We hugged goodnight, and I told him I love him. I came home and the dogs were still sleeping, little dry tongues of innocence, and I finally grabbed what we had in the fridge. Derek was sleeping so deeply. His profile against the big clock outside, I’ll never forget, his big warm body snoozing in the cold sheets. I laid there quietly next to him eating grapes and yogurt. This is when I teared up feeling gratitude. He mumbled something about fresh juice, still sleeping, which made me giggle and then I covered my entire body in the sheets except my little eyes, because they didn’t want to sleep, they always want to be up with New York and not miss a living second of all that she’s given me.

And Fredrik wasn’t the only MDL agent who went home a winner! Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles‘ Josh Altman and his brother Matt landed the No. 1 spot in California, while Million Dollar Listing Miami‘s Chad Carroll and his team placed at No. 1 in Florida!
