Looking back at four decades of KIND OF same film over and over and over again, the “Honest Trailers” guys examine the oeuvre of Tim Burton. And what do they find? Lots of striped suits, disembodied hands, chattering gag teeth, 10,000 pounds of white makeup, twisted trees, stop-motion animation, pale loners, overweight rich villains, cameos by horror icons (or actors playing horror icons)… and so much more. SO MANY TROPES. It’s dizzying how he has created his own brand of hackneyed clichés. I mean, we’ve kind of known it all along, but it’s shocking to see it all compiled in one video. Watch below.
