Bunch of yo-yos over there, if you ask me. After a summer when creator Ryan Murphy apparently went off his meds (“I’m firing all my biggest stars! No, I’m not! I’m giving them their own shows! No, I’m not! They’re staying! I don’t know what I’m doing!”), poor Chord was given the news that he would not returning as a series regular, but would instead be demoted to recurring status. “No, thank you,” he wisely rsaid. “I’m blond. I’m pretty. I’ll do just fine with out you,” and to that end he embarked upon a high-profile romance with it-girl Emma Roberts, starred in the quasi-hip video for Hot Chelle Rae’s “Tonight, Tonight,” and booked a number of guest spots on fall shows. Things were going great for Chord, but then Glee came back for its third season and in just three episodes was back to being as dismal and rudderless as it ever was. So now Ryan has asked Chord back. Personally, I think Chord should tell Ryan to go fuck himself, and stay the hell off that sinking ship, but what do I know? He reprises his role of Sam in the eighth episode, slated to air sometime in December, and I suppose I’ll go back to watching, just to support him. Although I’m certainly not happy about it.
