The true (we hope) story of the legendary New York City rock club that was home to such acts as the Ramones, Talking Heads, and Blondie. It stars Alan Rickman as the club’s founder Hilly Kristal, Malin Ackerman as Debbie Harry, Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins as Iggy Pop, and Rupert Grint and Justin Bartha as the Dead Boys’ Cheetah Chrome and Stiv Bators. Also on board are Donal Logue, Ashley Greene, Johnny Galecki, and Bradley Whitford. (We’re thinking some of this casting could prove genius.) The movie features more than 60 songs and a dozen on-camera performances by the actors. Directed by Randall Miller, it’s set to open this fall. Watch the trailer. (via deadline)
