So Sabrina the Teenage Witch is directing Morticia Addams in a Lifetime remake of the 1980 horror classic (that starred Bette Davis! Kyle Richards! and Carroll “Baby Doll” Baker!) – and if that doesn’t get your gay adrenaline pumping, then you are exiled from the community. No ifs, ands, or buts. This is definitely ONE FOR THE AGES.
Via EW:
Based on a 1976 novel, the film tells the tale of Mrs. Alywood, whose young daughter mysteriously disappeared into the woods in the English countryside over 20 years ago. When her new neighbors bear a striking resemblance to her missing child, a supernatural mystery is set in play. The original 1980 film was produced by Walt Disney Productions targeting young adult audiences and has become a cult classic; Lifetime’s reboot appears to be a bit darker and more frightening.
In addition to the star power of the iconic Anjelica Huston, this reboot also stars up-and-comer Nicholas Galitzine – who is currently blowing up the LGBTQ festival circuit in the Irish coming-of-age movie Handsome Devil. And he’s got a pair of lips on him that put Lisa Rinna to shame. I’m not sure the pic below does him justice (and he’s not really in the trailer below) but whooooeee, he’s one to watch.
Can’t WAIT for this. It premieres on Lifetime October 21. Just in time for Halloween.
