Filmmaker and journalist Cameron Crowe has been developing a film in secret for the last two years with the legendary Joni Mitchell.
Above the Line revealed on Thursday that Crowe is hoping to create a film that goes beyond traditional biopics like Elvis and is something
akin to an autobiography.”
Mitchell has known Crowe since the 70s when he first interviewed her as a reporter for Rolling Stone. His early journalist days were made into the film Almost Famous, that made Kate Hudson VERY famous.
Crowe has reportedly been leveraging his relationship with Joni as he writes the script.
The project is “deeply personal” to Crowe, but no other details haver yet been revealed.
