She’s “came out” on the cover of Vanity Fair, was named as this year’s Arthur Ashe Courage Award winner and now Caitlyn Jenner has made the BBC‘s list of most powerful women for 2015. Cait took the number seven spot in BBC Radio 4’s 2015 Woman’s Hour Power List, which identifies women who have had an “exceptionally large impact” on people’s lives and an ability to influence others. Jenner’s entry on the list reads;
“Many news sources describe her as the most famous openly transgender person in the world.”
The list, which in a previous year was topped by the Queen, is decided by a panel of four judges who compile it based on who the most influential women “operating in the UK”. (Has Cait been “operating” there? I guess she IS worldwide, so anyone can claim her…?) Judge Sarah Vine, described Jenner’s impact;
“It can only be to the good if a wider audience can learn to understand her experience.”
It’s not all about looks, we know, but Caitlyn has been wowing NYC wherever she goes over the last few days. She made an appearance at the Pride Parade this weekend and she’s been seen (with her handsome bodyguard) all over town; at dinner, for a performance of An American in Paris on Broadway and at legendary stylist Patricia Field‘s NoHo store. Wouldn’t you like to know what she bought? One thing that should be a must-have for fall is a version of her black sling-backs. You can see here, they go with ANYTHING! CFDA get that award ready for next year!
