Well, this is interesting: Deadline is reporting that red/hot Caleb Landry Jones is in negotiations to join the cast of Roland Emmerich‘s Stonewall. Find out the nutty role he’ll be playing after the jump.
Stonewall, of course, is about the riots sparked by the raid on the titular NYC gay bar in 1969. It’ll star War Horse cutie-patootie Jeremy Irvine as Danny, “a young man who experiences a political awakening thanks to the flash point that ignited the gay rights movement.” Which is reason enough to go see it. But, ho ho, wait until you hear this magical bit of casting: Caleb Landry Jones aka BANSHEE FROM X-MEN FIRST CLASS, OMG, will play “an eccentric gay street hustler named Orphan Annie who slowly warms to Danny before being drawn into the Stonewall riots.” Did you just DIE at that description?
Here’s Caleb and Jeremy:
Now picture them as homos in the 1960s, possibly in love, and fighting for your gay rights. SWOON!
