Caitlyn Jenner has been going to the Beverly Hills Hotel to eat for “decades”, but not any more.
Jenner blasted the restaurant on Instagram writing:
“Fuck your horrible service for not letting me have lunch with this tiny rip in my jeans.
Shame on you. Disgusting. I have been a patron for decades. No longer.”
TMZ reported Jenner was
“really caught off guard, especially because she was dressed in full hair and makeup.
Caitlyn’s jeans were more distressed denim than ripped jeans, making it that much more surprising to her.”
In response, the hotel referred to its dress code posted on their website:
“At the Polo Lounge, we encourage you to dress for the occasion, so we ask that you refrain from wearing casual hats, ripped denim, crop tops, nightwear, swimwear and men’s sleeveless shirts.”
OK, so let’s unpack this little hissy fit, shall we…?
The Beverly Hills Hotel is famously owned by Dorchester Hotels Collection, which is owned by the Sultan of Brunei. A few years ago it was revealed that a new set of laws in the oil-rich country of Brunei were implemented that would stone to death homosexuals convicted of sodomy. Lesbians get 100 lashes.
At the time many celebrities, including George Clooney & Elton John called for a boycott of Brunei-owned hotels. A number of the hotels, like The Beverly Hills Hotel, The Dorchester in London then removed themselves from social media so as not to garner any more public criticism.
So Caitlyn, of course, tone-deaf to the fact that she has been supporting an anti-LGBTQ business for years (“decades”!) lines up perfectly with her being a Republican (& failed GOP CA candidate for Gov.) Out of step with the LGBTQ community, in more ways than one.
But what is she pissed off about? Not the hotel’s stance on LGBTQ rights, but her own personal snubbing which had to do with a dress code and nothing to do with her being trans. Or did it?
FYI Cait, just as a styling tip, 70-something ladies-who-lunch don’t wear ripped jeans to The Polo Lounge.
Btw, those hotels owned by the homophobic Sultan of Brunei are some of the fanciest in the world.

Meanwhile, to Caitlyn “LGBTQ” just means trashing an ally in the White House while supporting a party that ignores you and your rights.
