After serving only 120 hours of her 23-day sentence, Paris Hilton has been released from lockup and “reassigned” to “the community based alternatives to custody: the CBAC program,” according to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department press release. Apparently, she has a strictly confidential medical condition that interfered with her incarceration – although we’d guess at least 90% of the prison population has herpes. Hilton was released from her cell early this morning and will be under house arrest with an ankle bracelet in her West Hollywood home for the 40 days still left on her original sentence. Her home cell has a radius of 3000-4000 feet as opposed to the 12 X 8 feet she had in Lynwood. After the 40 days are up, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said, she will have “fulfilled her debt to society.” Developing. (TMZ)
