This guy. I mean, really. Nothing seems to stick to him. He walked away unscathed after being accused of raping a 17-year-old boy in 2003 (and, remember, it wasn’t the first time he had faced such accusations). Then Singer was fired by Fox after repeatedly not showing up for work on the set of his Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, “among other work-related offenses.” He was consequently dropped by his agency and it seemed for a moment that the #MeToo moment might possibly catch him in its undertow. But no.
In what is widely seen as “a step toward rehabilitating the director’s image,” sources say Millennium Studio will pay Singer “top dollar” to direct a big-screen adaptation of the Conan the Barbarian comic book spinoff Red Sonja. Millennium, apparently, is hoping to start a franchise that captures the audience that turned out for Wonder Woman – and think that Singer is JUST THE GUY to bring in the woke, young, feminist crowd. Because riiiiiiiiiiiight.
No word yet on who will star as the Red Sonja, but I believe Ru Just ran into Brigitte Nielson and she might be up to reprising her role…..
