Singer said the bruises were caused during an “S&M” photo shoot for Rolling Stone magazine, by a band or a strap around her arm that was too tight. To claim abuse, he said, would be “false and defamatory,” and he faulted the Post of shoddy reporting. Singer also represents Britney Spears in her fight with the New York tabloid, which printed a photo of her drinking ginseng and called it booze.
Rolling Stone reps say the shoot was not, in fact, S&M in nature and that it took place way back on July 19. And a Hilton spokeswoman said Carter’s people are telling falsehoods, that one can see from photos taken after the shoot that Hilton has no bruises. Because, obviously, bruises show up immediately.
Anyway, that story will be ongoing, so let’s catch up with that darling Mary-Kate. Oh, I see here at this Irish entertainment site, that she wants to open a restaurant. She says, “I want to go to culinary school because I love cooking. One day I’d love to open up a restaurant or café.” Hey, she didn’t say she was gonna eat anything. She just finished a stint in a secret rehab center for anorexia or worse. Could that statement be damage control?
