In new legal documents, Britney Spears has requested protection from her ex-manager, Sam Lufti, filing for a restraining order against him yesterday in L.A. County Superior Court.
According to TMZ, who obtained the legal docs, Lutfi’s been sending texts to Britney’s mother, Lynne Spears and posting “disparaging and threatening comments” on social media. He has asked the public to “raise hell” to free Britney. He may have started the hashtag,
Britney’s lawyers say Lutfi sent Lynne a text last week, calling her out for not getting involved in Britney’s conservatorship and decisions about the singer’s. Strangely, Lutfi allegedly offered Lynne $1,000 to “disrupt and take over” the conservatorship but Lynne refused to take the money.
Meanwhile, Lynne Spears has filed her own court docs, asking a judge to order Britney’s dad to include her in her daughter’s treatment plan.
Lynne’s lawyer says it is in Britney’s best interest for her to have a voice in the situation. Mom Lynne is not asking to become a co-conservator with Jamie, but she does have a BIG problem over the way Britney is being managed.
The Spears family blames Lufti for his bad influence that ended with her mental breakdown in 2008. Lutfi has threatened to release “trunks” of personal items of Britney’s from when he was her manager in the early 2000s.
They say Lutfi’s harassment has a negative effect on Britney and his
“vigilante action, bribes and release of private information” is a clear attempt to derail the actions of the conservatorship.
They say the restraining order is needed to “prevent future harm and further psychological trauma.”
If granted, Lutfi would have to stay 200 yards away from Britney, Lynne and Jamie Spears. He would also be barred from being near Brit’s kids, her boyfriend and her sister and have no contact with them– by phone, text or email.
Lufti has an active twitter account posting and re-posting about Britney. He seems obsessed, for whatever reason.
