Two days ago, I wore a pair of proper shoes for the first time in many years (I normally wear trainers – or sneakers as you call them in the States). A day later, my shins had shooting pains firing up them. I believe the two events are linked in some way. Perhaps the weight of the shoe was just too much for my poor spindly little legs and they have buckled under the weight (the army are clearly right when they say that young soldiers can’t wear boots because their feet are too soft from wearing sneakers all their life).
Is this true – or should I be worred about somemthing else?
