Elton John joined forces with Olly Alexander at this year’s Brit Awards to put on a show-stopping number.
Elton new version of Alexander’s cover of the Pet Shop Boys’ It’s a Sin which he starred in earlier this year.
John’s husband, David Furnish, introduced the performance, explaining how medication can make HIV undetectable and untransmittable.
“By fighting together, we’ve changed the world. Today, HIV is no longer a death sentence,” John’s husband, “The fight goes on until we can banish stigma, ignorance, fear, and the virus itself forever.”
That intro gave way to an amazing performance with Alexander laying on John’s piano in a black lace outfit. Then the lights go up, and there were dancers, drag queens, confetti… and a killer performance.
The song proceeds benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
