Last night, Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, along with Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heroes and Yellow Fever designer Jamison Ernest, opened up their Angels & Kings bar in Manhattan’s East Village. According to Wentz, “it will be a bit of a dive” where “all our loser friends can hang out.” And so much more: Ernest wants it to be “a place that anyone can go and have sex in the bathroom and not get in trouble.” And no mention of any $1,000+ bottles upfront. So, in other words, the ’80s are creeping back into New York’s nightlife. (Page Six)
